Cold, cold February night.
I have a sudden, inexplicable urge to see some stars tonight.
Looking out the window, at light-polluted London, the only thing I see is the ever-lit fluorescent floors of banking giants before me, hinting at the untold stories of faceless office workers chained to their desks, suits crumpled by the toil of day, souls crushed by the burden of finance, commerce, industry.
No stars to be seen tonight, only the fading light of a thousand miserable souls.
