Okay what's up with all this talk about 'popping'?
"Oh she's definitely going to pop any time now."
"I don't want to him to be away when I finally pop."
"If I watch horror films will I pop early?"
"She looks like she's about to pop."
Snippets of conversation I've heard/read over the past few days.
WHAT IS UP WITH THE POPPING REFERENCE?
It conjures up particularly unpleasant images (for me, at least), and inevitably the following questions 'pop' (sorry) into my mind:
1. Are you a balloon?
2. Are you a weasel?
3. Are you a water bag?
4. Are you a champagne/beer/soft drink bottle?
5. Does the baby actually come out with a 'pop'?
...
But maybe it's just me?
..signing off..
