the narrator

I am only a little melancholic, a little bit sick of the world, but isn’t everyone like this?

If you feel that I am unfamiliar in a crowd, do not be surprised, that is not the real me

I am still the person you know from before.

At this rate, my day is TRULY beyond redemption...

1. Woke up at 2pm. Sad as more than half the day gone. Groggy. Proceed to feel groggy and woozy for the rest of the day.

2. Tried to heat up a box of leftover tuna rice and char siew for lunch. Came out of microwave piping hot and smelling great, but decided to microwave it for a further 30 seconds to make sure it's hot through and through <--- person who can't stand lukewarm food. Dropped the entire thing onto the floor - which I just mopped yesterday. Sad, hungry. Once sparkling clean floor now oily, and smells of fish, char siew.

3. Computer unable to detect camera's SD card. Took SD card out of the adaptor and for some unknown reason decided to stick it directly into the laptop's card reader slot. Of course card too small, so got lodged inside the slot and refused to come out. Panic as now camera totally unusable without memory card, and afraid card might melt inside computer. Attempted to 'shake' out memory card with zero success. Tried various other things. Zero success. FED UP. Jammed 2 knives into slot and wedged memory card in between, yanked hard, and voila!

4. Time to cook dinner. Switch on stove. Nothing happened. Strong, sickly sweet smell of glue. Looked down, realised plastic box containing my pre-chopped soup ingredients were burning. PANIC. Turn off stove. Realised soup ingredients now all covered in gooey layer of melted plastic. THROW AWAY. Sad, hungry, angry. Dinner gone.

Sigh, looks at sun, SIGHS.
