Seen and overheard on a tram by my Arabic teacher:
Bunch of hooligans swaggered onto the tram, noisy and utterly discourteous toward other passengers. Looking around the half-full tram, they spotted a little Asian kid standing by the door. They called out to him and jeered,
"Hey, why don't you go back to where you came from?"
The little boy glared at them, replying (in impeccable Australian accent),
"What, to RICHMOND?"
Entire tram bursts out in laughter, hooligans slink away sulkily into a corner, utterly embarrassed.
Kudos kid, kudos.
