the narrator

I am only a little melancholic, a little bit sick of the world, but isn’t everyone like this?

If you feel that I am unfamiliar in a crowd, do not be surprised, that is not the real me

I am still the person you know from before.

I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves, and this it how it goooeeeessssssssss....
I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves, and this it how it goooeeeesssssssssss.....
I know a song - "

Okay okay, I can hear it already: SHUT THE HELL UP!!!

Fine...some people, absolutely no sense of humour. Hah, wait till i sing it to you... It's currently a signature feature on my brother's 'recordable' alarm clock, and it's a guaranteed 100% useful wakeup call for sleepybums. Just play it over and over and over and over and over until the bum in question starts tearing out his/her hair in desperation.

Anyway, I'm in the middle of selecting songs for a party. A very tough job, mind you, considering my friends have music tastes further apart than...err... Lets just put it this way: The most heavenly music to one = Nails scratching on blackboard to another. *Shudder* Sorry guys...horrible image.

Well, frankly, I don't know how to pick, but I'm in the mind to include 'YMCA' to annoy the heck out of some people..heheh. (*wink wink nudge nudge*)
"It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-Aaaaa...
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-AAAAAA...
They have everything for you men to enjoy,
You can hang out with all the boys ..."
(Err, is it just me, or is there a vaguely 'gayish' undertone to that?)

On the topic of music, check out www.pandora.com - kickass site that acts like a personal radio + great song-recommending feature.
Oooh... and this song's pretty cool, nice and slow ("Banana Pancakes" by Jack Johnson)

"Can't you see that it's just rainin'
There ain't no need to go outside
But baby, you hardly even notice
When I try to show you
this song It's meant to keep you
From doin' what you're supposed to
Like wakin' up too early
Maybe we could sleep in
I'll make you banana pancakes
Pretend like it's the weekend now..."
And you know what? It's raining outside...everything grey and foggy and cold...this song's simply perfect.

I love the rainy tropics. The rain doesn't do the "I'll fall daintily and gracefully and slowly like I'm dancing tiptoe ballet" thing like its Australian cousin. If it decides to fall, it falls with a crash and a bang and absolutely tears up the sky, and what more, it laughs merrily and unashamedly at the unfortuantes scurrying to stay dry. Grrr...deliciously brutal~
So what can I say? The song said it all...
"Can't you see that it's just rainin'
There ain't no need to go outside.."
Whee ~

..signing off..
